James R. DUNN
1946 - 2021
After a brief battle with cancer, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, PEI, Thursday December 9, 2021 James Roy Dunn (Jim) age 75 years. Husband to Margaret (Steben) his wife of over 50 years. Dear father of Arlene (Kevin) Bonnie (Rob) and Chris. Cherished Grandpa to Erin, Ryan, Owen, Johannes-James, Marcus, Christopher and Rebecca.
Dear Brother of Edwardeen (Gilles), Valerie (Brian), Carolee (Paul), and Stephen (Mireille) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Eva (Doucet) and brother Roy.
Employed by Canadian National Railway, and retired in 1998. Jim was active in his community of Otterburn Park for many years. During retirement. his hobby as the ice technician for the Otterburn Legion Memorial Curling Club and Saint Lambert Curling Clubs kept him very busy, and in the last year continued to make ice in Summerside, PEI.
He was elected President of the Otterburn Legion and Otterburn Curling club for several years. Jim loved sports, he enjoyed golfing, curling and coached many different sporting teams during the years, following his children in their desire to compete.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to his dear friend Janet for her care and support of our Father /Jim through his illness.
Expressions of condolences will be received by family at 651 Boul. Laurier, McMasterville, QC J3G 0K5 on Friday May 27, 2022 from 10:00am –12:00 pm and from 13:00pm – 15:00pm A ceremony of his life will follow at 15:00 am in the Chapel on site.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be much appreciated.
