Thérèse CRIPPS (née Gagné)
1941 - 2020

Cripps, Thérèse (Terry) Gagné

Novembre 20, 1941 to August 4, 2020

She was 78 years of age. She died in Honoré-Mercier Hopital in St-Hyacinthe.

Terry fought cancer for 6 years, and after an operation she developed diabetes.

Terry came ton Montreal from the Quebec city area when she was 20 years of age. She was a secretary by training and was employed as such for 10 years. In 1966 she enrolled at Sir George Williams University (now part of Concordia University). She began taking one course per year and later took two courses per year at night. She continued in this way until she graduated with honors and a B.A. degree in Geography. Although French was her first language, she took most of her courses in English.

In 1972, Terry and her husband George Cripps bought a house in Mont-Saint-Hilaire where she looked after the yard work. She had the property looking immaculate. She was proud of her word be it gardening. Or studying.

Thérèse is survived by her husband George, five brothers and two sisters in the Quebec city area, and two sister-in-law, one in Moncton and the other in Vancouver. Also many nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral and no visitation. Her ashes will be placed in a niche in the Mausoleum in the Demers funeral complex in McMasterville, Quebec.

I would like to express my thanks to the medical staff of the Mercier hospital for the care they gave Thérèse. The care and concern was the best that I could imagine. A heartfelt thank you to all who helped care for my wife.  G. C.
